Dimensional Dance director, Ruth Lewis, and Dimensional Dance teaching artists, Savana Jones and Jus Hues, lead teaching artist workshops in over 15 schools in Hartford through the agency Hartford Performs. They also lead inspiring professional development workshops for teachers, principals, and staff through movement and choreography for kinesthetic learning experiences of science, history and language arts. Most recently they have led literacy afterschool workshops for parents and students in Hartford Public Schools.

Moving through Dr. King’s principles of nonviolence
Ruth Lewis, who is certified in Dr. King’s Principles of Nonviolence by CT Center for Nonviolence, and Savana Jones lead this moving kinesthetic workshop exploring Dr. King’s Principles of Nonviolence and the Golden Rule while delving into social justice history.
Environment Justice movement
Ruth Lewis and Jus Hues help clients build a choreography vocabulary. Then we help clients explore how to be better stewards of the Earth by creating their own tableaus or movements phrases about clean energy and best environmental justice practices.
Residency:
Social Justice residency- moving dr. king’s principles of nonviolence
In this social justice residency that can be 3-5 days long, we explore more of Dr. King’s six principles of nonviolence through movement and and choreography.
